History
The Greater Flushing Chamber of Commerce launched in 2014 as an independent membership association that seeks to build a strong, diverse, and sustainable community. Since then, we have established the first community night market, introduced a free English language program for our business community, and created lending circles to help entrepreneurs build credit. Join us as we shape the future of Flushing, New York!
Welcome to Flushing!
Our mission is to foster the economic growth, inclusive diversity, and shared prosperity of greater Flushing through advocacy, networking, and education.
The Greater Flushing Chamber of Commerce is a multicultural membership association of entrepreneurs, business owners, and civic leaders in the most diverse community in New York.
Our Chamber represents the fastest growing and most dynamic business community in the United States. Attracting firms from around the world- two dozen languages are spoken by our businesses- we are already an international trade hub and the fourth largest commercial district in New York. As the center of small business activity in the metropolitan region- 90% of our 6,000 firms have less than 10 workers- we are also the new face of American entrepreneurship. Yet, many of our small business owners face great hardship and often do not get the assistance and resources they need from our government.
With your support– we have accomplished much- establishing Flushing’s first community night market at Flushing Town Hall, creating a free English program with Monroe College, connecting local businesses with hundreds of skilled workers at our Green Job Fair, advocating for better transit and infrastructure investment, establishing a new model for entrepreneurs to build credit. Join us as we celebrate these accomplishments and more!
