With the start of 2018 now well underway, resolutions, goals, plans, and dreams are all tested. In the online world, new domain registrations usually signify the first step towards developing an idea. A New York City size and type of marketing campaign for .NYC

This YouTube video published on April 21, 2015 expertly outlines the genesis of the .NYC TLD. Sadly it has 33 views, no comments and not a single thumbs up in two and a half years!  Manhattan Neighborhood Network (MNN) produced the show called Represent NYC and this episode focused on the then-new .nyc domain, with Manhattan Borough President, Gale Brewer as the host. Gale did a great job interviewing her three guests which included Betsy Bober Polivy (Founder of Manhattan Sideways, sideways.nyc), Ken Biberaj (VP at Russian Tea Rooms, russiantearoom.nyc and Community Board 7 member) and Anna Guzman (Business Development Manager at Neustar, ownit.nyc). OWNIT.NYC Looks Back at 3 Years of .NYC

Recently OwnIt published an article called History Has Its Eyes on You .NYC in which the last 3 years of this city TLD is summarized. It's an interesting travel through time reviewing the .NYC's place among other cityTLDs, the success of the Best of Boroughs campaign and a look at the range of businesses, not for profits, individuals and other entities being a part of it and how premium domain sales are shaping up for the city and the registry. One person spent $86,800* on 21 NYC domains

Just over a week ago I reported how Sex.nyc and Beautiful.nyc were both purchased by the same person, for about $7,000 and $3,500 respectively - well it now appears that this person has struck again. The spending spree started with sex.nyc and beautiful.nyc on October 22nd and continued through October 31st with additional 19 NYC domain name purchases, bringing the total spent to approximately $86,800.
